Work Preserve

Historic Ithaca’s Work Preserve job training program was launched 2010 and expanded in 2012. With support from the City of Ithaca Community Development Block Grant program, the Park Foundation, and the Community Foundation, Work Preserve provides youth and young adults with training in customer service, retail, furniture repair, and facility maintenance skills. Many participants go on to find full-time employment or gain further job readiness training. Visit Significant Elements today to see an array of furniture and architectural items that have been repaired, restored, or remanufactured by Work Preserve students.
