Your donation will support the ongoing effort to preserve the houses, public places and historic sites that give our community its character and vitality. Help protect the significant buildings, landscapes, and communities of Tompkins County and the Finger Lakes Region by becoming a Friend of Historic Ithaca.

With your gift of $60 a year or more, you will be a Friend of Historic Ithaca and receive discounted admission to workshops, tours and special events, plus 15% off every time you shop at Significant Elements.

Since 1966, Historic Ithaca has been active in the community promoting the value, vitality and sustainability of our built heritage, neighborhoods, and community in Ithaca and Tompkins County through education, advocacy and action. We believe historic places, materials, stories, and skills matter. What sets us apart is how we put that belief into action. Alongside our traditional preservation advocacy, technical services, and public programs, we operate two transformative enterprises: Significant Elements, our 10,000-square-foot architectural salvage store, and Work Preserve, a hands-on preservation skills and retail training program for youth with barriers to employment.
