The NY Statewide Preservation Conference

The NY Statewide Preservation Conference is going virtual once again!

This year, we’re focusing on the future of preservation. Some of the questions we’ll be asking:

  • How does preservation have to change to remain relevant?

  • What does the future of preservation look like in a post-George Floyd and post-COVID world?

  • How can we expand our preservation practice to be inclusive of the full American story?

  • Does the preservation field need to update long held standards or find ways to work creatively within them?

Your Conference registration includes: an intensive, pre-Conference training session on Tuesday, two full days of breakout sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, and a Keynote presentation from Elon Cook Lee (see keynote at 12:00pm - November 17 on this schedule for more information.)

With Ithaca as the host city for the virtual event Historic Ithaca will be opening the conference with a special presentation on our city and the newly completed Cascadilla Boathouse - Exterior Restoration Project a Jon Reis Photography Production with videography by Jacob Mroczek.

Presented by: Rochester Colonial Manufacturing

A Conference of The Landmark Society of Western New York, Historic Ithaca & Significant Elements, Preservation League of New York State, City of Ithaca, and NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
