In Historic Ithaca’s earliest days, information relevant to preservation – local history, current events, or architectural information – was primarily communicated to the public through newsletter mailings. But in 1971, Historic Ithaca tried a new outlet: a radio program. From 9:30 to 9:35 AM on Sunday mornings, speakers Ithaca would deliver pithy presentations on WHCU. Coordinated by Rosemary Mizener, speakers included Historic Ithaca members, directors, and allies from the academic community. Although the program was short lived, Historic Ithaca was pleased to have the opportunity to speak regularly and casually with the public.
