Green Jobs | Green NY: Energy Study

Ithaca has been recognized internationally as it became the first US city to begin operation on a 100% decarbonization plan. Ithaca adopted a Green New Deal resolution in 2019. The goal of the adopted plan is to “electrify thousands of buildings in the city of Ithaca in an effort to decarbonize by the end of the decade.”

Taitem Engineering, a leader in sustainability practices locally, is offering a first step to businesses and nonprofit organizations to study and understand how their buildings will be ready for electrification, considered the most efficient and effective path to achieve decarbonization.

NYSERDA is the sponsoring agency and will share in the cost of an energy study for eligible businesses and nonprofits through the Green Jobs Green New York program. Read more about your opportunity to take part in this program.
