Architectural Heritage Honor Award from Preservation League of NY State

In April 1986, Historic Ithaca and the Ithaca Landmarks Preservation Commission were joint recipients of the Preservation League of New York State’s Architectural Heritage Honor Award. The two groups were recognized for their advocacy efforts, particularly in the recently fought Cornell Ag Quad and Clinton Hall battles. The Preservation League called these efforts “valiant and courageous,” commending the partnership of the two groups as “a model for communities elsewhere.”
