This hands-on workshop will equip property owners and restorers with the skills needed to keep old windows in good working order. Participants will gain hands-on experience removing paint and old putty, cleaning and cutting glass, prepping sash, replacing glass, and performing epoxy repairs. Participants will learn how to evaluate condition, disassemble a double-hung window and replace sash balances. The workshop also covers weatherization methods for maximum energy performance, correct painting techniques, the best tools and materials for the job and where to find them, and lead safety.
